On March 6, 2020 the University of Connecticut's premier acapella group "Conn Men" visited the Middle School of Plainville to present a concert to the student body.

The Middle School of Plainville’s Student Council, together with advisor Melinda Buthe, held a “Souper Bowl” food drive leading up to the Super Bowl, for the Plainville Community Food Pantry.

On October 4th, a group of Middle Middle School of Plainville students attended the Manufacturing Mania event held at Goodwin College in East Hartford.

Middle School of Plainville faculty members Camille Westfall and Kim Coyle together with a group of eighth grade students, recently attended the Multiply Your Options (MYO) event held on the UCONN Storrs campus.
