MSP students joined their PHS classmates in the modification of a Go Baby Go vehicles. They worked on a miniature MiniCooper! Go Baby Go is a national, community-based research, design and outreach program that provides modified ride-on cars to children birth to age 3 who experience limited mobility. The MSP students learned about electricity, safety, and parent controls. They modified the electrical components to move the activation button to the steering wheel, installed a safety switch so parents can turn the vehicle off quickly. Students installed safety measures to allow for a five-point harness and padded the user area with foam so the operator was protected from hard surfaces.
