Students from The Middle School Of Plainville’s Art Club answered the Governor's call for Christmas ornaments designed by Connecticut’s middle school students, which depict the theme “Christmas in Connecticut: Past and Present”. Art Club students worked together under the direction of Art teachers Lori Vigue and Laura Meehan to create ceramic ornaments in the shape of Connecticut. The ornaments were then decorated with various holiday and local themes. One ornament was sent to the Governor's Residence to represent the art club. The selected ornament will be viewed by the public, when the Governor and Mrs. Lamont host an annual open house at their residence in December.
These beautiful “Christmas in Connecticut” ornaments will also be gifted to special community members in Plainville this holiday season.
