Here are our Student Council Updates for the week of 11/12/18:

"RedWhite and Blue" Spirit Day (MONDAY, 11/12/18)

  • 329 students participated in this spirit day.
  • This was a very special way for MSP to show respect for the veterans who visited our school on this day.

"Color for a Cure" Spirit Day (WEDNESDAY, 11/21/18)

  • Student Council is continuing the drive to support the Hematology and Oncology Department at CCMC.
  • Your child is encouraged to wear a specific color.  The color assignments are as follows:
  • 6th-grade wears orange for Leukemia Awareness.
  • 7th-grade wears yellow for Childhood Cancer Awareness.
  • 8th-grade wears pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
  • We are looking for every student in the school to donate $1 on this day.  If every student is able to do this, we will collect ~$600.
  • The contributions will be added to the donation pile for the Hematology-Oncology Unit at CCMC.  Remember, we currently have, at least, $1,000 to pass along to them.
  • We hope you consider supporting this worthy cause.
  • If your child doesn't have his/her grade's assigned color, the following resources have been reviewed with your child via his/her Student Council homeroom representative:  borrow from a family member or a friend; create something; or make a purchase from an inexpensive store like Savers (Of course, the latter is a family decision.)
