Plainville Students Honored At 31st Annual Superintendent’s Award Presentation

plainville students and administrative staff at j timothy's restaurant Twelve Plainville students received the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents’ (CAPSS) Superintendent / Student Recognition Award and Certificate of Excellence at the 31st annual Superintendent’s Award Presentation held on November 7th, during a luncheon at J. Timothy’s Restaurant.
The students are: Kara Ahern and Jack Ward, Linden Street School; Donald Davidson and Addison Schneider, Louis Toffolon School; Iman Bilal and Alexa Hidri, Frank T. Wheeler School; Alison Wisz and Spencer Michalek, the Middle School of Plainville; and Caroline Sechrist, John Siani, Andrea Ybanez, and Sergio Zaldivar, Plainville High School.
This award is given during American Education Week to students who have been nominated by their teachers and chosen by their principal. Criteria for recognition of excellence include community service and service to others, academic prowess relative to ability, leadership service to the school community, and other unique qualities.
"I am so proud of all of our students chosen for this award for their academic achievements and community service. It is always a wonderful event to celebrate with our students and their families," said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Maureen Brummett.
